INTRODUCTION

  • Reading Enhancement Program is organized by the Office of Student Affairs and contains a variety of activities and challenges that are kicked off online every school year.
  • The program aims to improve reading skills and foster a love for reading among students.

1. Students answer correctly all the questions and solve the crime
2. Students read at least 21 days per month
The more days you read, the more hours you get.
3. Students read for at least 20 minutes a day
The more hours you get, the higher chance you win!
4. ALL the quizzes (if any) of books read MUST BE COMPLETED
5. No quiz score is under 80%
6. Students who have the highest total reading time

Students are required to:
1, Read any books they like on Epic according to the Reading Criteria AND
2, Become detectives by watching videos and solving crimes! 

Fall 2022

Book Review Contest is a contest that encourages all students to share their thoughts and feelings about their favorite books.
Winners are students who have the highest scores
(The point will be a total of 70% academic score and 30% social interactive score)
There are 03 winners for each school level
(Level 1 is for grades K to 2, level 2 is for grades 3 to 5; level 3 is for grades 6 and over).

Spring 2024

The League of Readers is a competition that continues the tradition of the 21-day reading challenge in the school year 2021 - 2022, which aims to enhance the reading culture at IGS.

In Spring 2024, the challenge encourages a spirit of unity within a classroom by awarding reading badges to classes that achieve impressive reading milestones!

The school is divided into 9 groups as below. Students from groups 1 to 8 will compete as classes and students from group 9 will compete as individuals.
- Group 1: Grade K and Global English 1
- Group 2: Grade 1 and Global English 2
- Group 3: Grade 2 and Global English 3
- Group 4: Grade 3 and Global English 4
- Group 5: Grade 4
- Group 6: Grade 5 and Global English 6
- Group 7: Grade 6 and Global English 7
- Group 8: Grades 7 and 8
- Group 9: High school

Fall 2023

The Bookworm Corner is a section in IGS monthly newsletters from September 2023 to January 2024, where we display 2 - 3 videos of students reading books. This aims to help students maintain the habit of reading and enjoying books, and showcase IGSers' English skills.

Each video was uploaded on the Youtube channel of the Office of Student Affairs.
